People or houses?

Do we need more housing or less people in the UK? I think less people.
If I had millions in the bank, would I buy houses, have them demolished and grow trees in their place? I think I would.
If we must build some new homes, do they have to be built so close together? I think not, let's have some breathing space and more greenery between our homes.
If we must build some new homes, could we build them properly and with character or not at all? I think so.
