If I have twice as much money as the next man, should the government allow me to buy a car that uses twice as much fuel as the next man's car, even though we have the same size family, similar job types, make similar journeys and use the vehicle for the same purposes? I think not.
If I have twice as much money as the next man, should I be allowed to have a TV that uses twice as much electricity? I think not.
When the government asks the general public to save water, use less gas and electricity, do they they never consider to what use it acceptable for our natural resources to be put.
Is it OK to burn fuel and pollute the atmosphere in the name of sport? I think not.
Is it OK to burn fuel and pollute the atmosphere to go on holiday? I think not.
Is it OK to use electricity from the mains to power cosmetic lighting around homes or to power advertising billboards? I think not.
Is it OK to bring products to the UK from India or China or other low cost countries, when they can be made in the UK with less environmental impact. I think not.
Is it OK to import goods to the UK so cheaply from low cost countries such as China, that when they break, it is more financially viable to replace than repair them. I think not.
Are the people in positions of power and having significant wealth, putting their own greed before the best interests of the world. I think so.
How can we stop the people of the world from helping the corrupt and the greedy to laugh in our faces? I know not do you?
